Government Accredited Translator and Interpreter
Certified Translator for Amharic at the Berlin Courts and Notaries
Member Federal Association of Interpreters & Translators (BDÜ)

Since 1993, I offer a professional translation service for Amharic, widely spoken throughout Ethiopia. I am a native speaker of Amharic and am based in Germany. I own an extensive research library on the Ethiopian language, culture and history and can therefore also annotate texts, if that is necessary.
For your website localization, I will adapt your marketing to the Ethiopian context and its cultural specifics.

The Language Amharic, a Semitic idiom, is the lingua franca of Ethiopia. It is, however, very different from Arabic and Hebrew and forms – together with Tigrinya – a quite distinct branch in the Semitic family. It has approximately 18 million native speakers, and is spoken by many non-Amhara Ethiopians as a second language. Its alphabet with 276 letters ranks among Africa’s very few indigenous script systems. It is a rich and complex language with a long-standing tradition and an impressive body of literature and poetry.
